ARGIANO SOLENGO RED BLEND - 750ML
Argiano is one of the oldest winemaking estates in Montalcino with a rich history dating back to the Renaissance. The estate was founded in 1580 and has served as a bastion of winemaking through the centuries, as well as home to noble families and popes. In more contemporary times, Argiano produced one of the first Brunello di Montalcinos, and in 1967, was one of the two founders of the Consorzio di Brunello di Montalcino. Argiano continued its leadership in Italian wine, working with Giacomo Tachis, a man credited with changing the course of wine in Italy as the founding father of the Super Tuscan movement. Tachis helped craft Argiano’s Solengo, a Super Tuscan from Montalcino. Today, Argiano is widely acknowledged as one of the finest producers in the district for crafting Brunello di Montalcino.
