Alfred Gratien Brut Rosé Champagne

The colour is a deep pink with delicate hints of purple. Very fine sparkle with an attractive ring of bubbles on the surface of the wine.

Initially intense on the nose. Ranging between fresh red fruit (especially cherry), pink grapefruit and mineral touches. The oak is subtle rather than obtrusive. This is a subtle nose that needs some swirling.

On the palate the wine has a beautiful base of acidity. It is lively from the attack right through to the finish. This is balanced out by vinosity and viscosity. The red fruit and biscuit notes remain all the way into the finish.

The finish is powerful, vinous and lingering, delicately saline and astringent.
