Chardonnay

The flavor profile of Chardonnay can vary depending on the region, climate, and
winemaking techniques. In cooler regions like Chablis (France), Chardonnay tends to
have a more mineral-driven, leaner style with crisp acidity and flavors of green apple,
citrus, and sometimes a little flinty or chalky note. In warmer climates, like California or
Australia, the grape can ripen more fully, resulting in a richer, fruitier wine with flavors of ripe peach,
melon, tropical fruit, and sometimes even butter or vanilla, especially
if it’s aged in oak barrels.
