Deep and intensely fruity but effortlessly smooth, Highland Park 18 is our most highly awarded (and dearly beloved) whisky, and for good reason. With a natural glowing amber colour straight from the cask, it’s a multi-layered whisky with many stories to tell—just like the people who make it.
The satisfying depth of the 18 year old comes from a higher proportion of whiskies matured in first-fill, sherry-seasoned European oak casks, which deliver intense notes of fruit and spice that linger on the palate. We round out these flavours with the addition of sherry-seasoned American oak casks and refill casks, resulting in a whisky that’s as balanced as it is complex.
The 18-year-old is beloved across the globe—it’s been named “Best Spirit in the World” on multiple occasions by American expert F Paul Pacult. But it’s also the preferred whisky of many of our own whisky makers, including Craig, who oversees research at our distillery. “For my palate,” he says, “it hits that point which is actually perfect.”
