Description
Sourced from three heritage vineyards in the deep, sandy soils of Contra Costa County, our Mourvèdre thrives in a unique terroir. These vines benefit from the cool evening breezes funneled through the San Joaquin and Sacramento Rivers, preserving the grape’s vibrant acidity and fresh character. The combination of exceptionally well-drained soils and minimal rainfall naturally limits yields, resulting in fruit of remarkable intensity and concentration. Farmed specifically for rosé in the classic French style, we hand-harvest whole clusters from fully mature Mourvèdre vines at optimal ripeness. The grapes are pressed immediately to capture their delicate aromatics and brilliant freshness, producing a wine that is both vibrant and expressive.

CLINE FAMILY CELLARS
As the San Francisco Bay tides ebb and flow through the summer season, so too does the weather that accompanies them. Cold crisp mornings open to warm summer days then cooling wind swept evenings. Our bay side vineyard is the beneficiary of these shifting tides which in combination promote long hang time and crisp acidity in our Sauvignon Blanc.
