GEHRICKE
Martin Vineyards is located just off of Highway 116 in the Sonoma portion of the Los Carneros winegrowing region, known for its predominantly clay soils. This region was one of the early pioneers of cool-climate pinot noirs, with grapes known for their fruitforward flavors, crisp acidity and tight structure. The 2024 harvest in Los Carneros unfolded under exceptionally favorable conditions. The region’s cool climate facilitated a slow, even ripening process, resulting in high-quality grapes that promise to deliver an outstanding vintage. After the grapes were hand-picked, sorted and destemmed, they were whole-cluster pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks without the use of malolactic fermentation.
