Made by Heaven Hill Distillery, the Henry McKenna 10 Year Single Barrel is a Bottled-In-Bond Bourbon, aged 10 years, with each bottle bearing both the bottling date and the barrel number. Known as a rye-drinker’s bourbon, it’s big, bold, and spicy, a great sipper on its own, and a fantastic base for an Old Fashioned. Distinct spicy aromas followed closely by mint, orange peel, and Nilla Wafers. On first taste, you get classic bourbon flavors of caramel, toffee, and vanilla, then the rye kicks in with mint, wood spice, and citrus. Bone dry with a long finish and charcoal undertones.
Announced as the “Best in Show Whiskey” at the 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, only the second time a Bourbon has won the top prize amongst all whiskeys from around the world, including Scotch. Demand skyrocketed immediately, and it’s been in short supply ever since.
