A Powerful Character

For this Cask Strength release, we chose first-fill, sherry-seasoned European oak casks for their aromatic spice, and add Pedro Ximénez sherry casks for their deliciously intense notes of sundried fruit to the mix. Refill casks, bourbon casks and first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak casks came next for smoothness, a touch of sweet and balance.

At Highland Park we’re obsessive about our casks. By overseeing and fine-tuning every aspect of their production, from the wood they’re made with to the way they’re toasted and seasoned, we ensure all our casks are always bursting with character—the most unadulterated expression of which comes in our cask strength releases.
