The Matsui is Kurayoshi Distillery’s line of exceptional Single Malt. The range also includes a whiskey-based Umeshu.
The Matsui Sakura Cask is a Single Malt distilled by Kurayoshi Distillery, located in Tottori Prefecture. The Matsui Single malt is aged in Sakura casks, the famous and iconic Japanese cherry tree. This tree holds an important place in Japanese culture, often used as a metaphor to underline the ephemeral nature of beauty but also of life. It has always been a source of inspiration for Japanese artists. Double distilled in Pot Still and then aged in Sakura casks in Tottori Prefecture, in a natural environment conducive to aging, this whisky is then reduced with natural spring water from Mount Daisen.
