Ponzi Vineyards Pinot Noir is distinguished by a consistency of excellence for more than 50 years. Given the exciting weather variations in the Willamette Valley, crafting fine Pinot Noir each vintage is anything but routine. Our success is a result of experience, skill and sensitivity with each step, from vineyard to fermentation to final presentation. We use low-intervention practices and gravity flow movements in the winery to showcase the unique terroir of the Laurelwood District AVA.
Joyful, vibrant, textured
The initial nose offers warm raspberry jam, chili pepper and chipotle balanced by flinty notes of gunsmoke and red clay. These notes open to rose petals, magnolia, cloves, and salt air. The mouth holds long, dark tannins of cola, white pepper, and spices of star anise, cardamom, and juniper, finishing with an explosion of blue fruit.
