At its foundation: locally sourced malted barley, nurtured by Tasmania’s rich soil and coastal air. The spirit undergoes a two-day distillation using traditional wash stills, followed by a slow spirit distillation—enhancing purity, depth, and complexity.

Where others rush maturation in small casks, The Tempest waits. It matures for 17 years in standard-size bourbon barrels, then finishes for three additional years in second-fill port casks—yielding extraordinary structure, balance, and finesse.

On the nose, aromas of biscotti, vanilla nougat, and citrus marmalade unfold into a palate of stewed apricots, ginger, and golden sultanas. The finish lingers warm with notes of toffee and spice—a layered expression of Tasmania’s elemental terroir.
