Reeves Chardonnay Heintz Vineyards Sonoma Coast

Even in a warm year like 2022, the Heintz Chardonnay retained its verve. So much in fact that we allowed it to fully finish malolactic fermentation to soften the energy a touch. The wine was whole cluster pressed and fermented in a mix of stainless steel, new and used French oak barrels. Only 20% were new. Aging was 18 months with no lees stirring and only minimal racking before bottling. Trademark exotic notes of tropical, vanilla crème and lemon come through distinctly here with notes of green apple and pear in support. Finishes with a lively tail of lemon and crushed rocks.
