2022 benefited from favorable climatic conditions. The absence of spring frosts and hail events preserved the vine buds. The summer was characterized by consistent temperatures without excessive peaks, allowing the vines to adapt well. Spring rains ensured a good water reserve for the drier months, facilitating grape development. The mid- August rains helped maintain milder temperatures and ensured an additional water reserve for the optimal ripening of the grapes. The health status of the grape clusters was excellent thanks to the warm climate and moderate humidity. Harvest began slightly earlier, around September 10th, and concluded after about a month. 2022 Chianti Classico wines show an overall balance with moderate acidity and soft, ripe tannins.
