Kaiyō Whisky “Signature” Mizunara Oak is matured exclusively in the finest Japanese Mizunara Oak barrels for the entirety of its aging process. All whiskies are made from 100% malted barley spirit, produced entirely in Japan, and enjoy a three-month ocean maturation that helps bring out the unique flavors that can only be obtained from Mizunara Oak. To ensure the most depth and richness all Kaiyō whiskies also remain un-chilfiltered. Tasting Notes: A delicately sweet-scented nose of honey and ginger give way to inviting exotic spices and fruits. On the palate this whisky is constantly evolving from toasted oak and nutty, to ripe dried fruit with hints of cherry, and finishes with deep flavors of dark chocolate, sandalwood and herbal tea notes.
