Tasting

Tawny colour with reddish hues. Its intense, complex aroma is marked by the notes of ripe red fruits, jams, nuts and spices. On the palate, the wine is dense and rich, with delicate tannins, lively acidity, notes of spices and nuts, and a long finish with great balance and persistence.

Maturation

The wines are aged in traditional oak casks in Porto Ferreira’s cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. During this period, they are frequently racked, analysed and tasted to monitor their evolution. After ageing, the final blend is made from a careful selection of wines, which are then clarified and stabilised before bottling.
